We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Accounting Specialist to join our team in the bustling construction industry.

Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness.
2.
Matching, batching, and coding invoices with precision and attention to detail.
3.
Entering, posting, and reconciling batches on a regular basis.
4.
Researching and resolving any accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers or vendors, ensuring smooth and professional communication.
5.
Reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger and preparing financial statements.
6.
Maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks.
7.
Collaborating with other members of the accounting team to improve and streamline procedures.
8.
Providing support to the accounting team during the month-end closing process.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
2.
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
3.
Strong knowledge of matching, batching, and coding invoices.
4.
Experience with entering, posting, and reconciling batches.
5.
Proven ability to research and resolve accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers or vendors.
6.
Familiarity with reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger.
7.
Experience maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks.
8.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
